Great Bear Legacy - End of Week One

Gloria managed to get through Week One in the Great Bear world and managed to accomplish quite a bit in seven days. As of Day One of Week Two she now has what she needs to live on her home lot. Read more... )

Great Bear World Revisited

Over the past few weeks I've had this nagging desire to redo an earlier Sims 3 gameplay that involved purchasing the biggest lot in the world, being nearly broke afterward, and having to live by a hobo as my sim slowly earns enough money to build a house. The game was fun until I discovered that until the lot is fenced in one should use NRaas Story Progression to make sure all pets are spayed/neutered. Whenever Gloria was away from the lot the pets that belonged to inactives would show up and...well...all manner of undesirable behavior took place and with her very limited resources Gloria could not deal with litters of kittens, puppies, and foals. Anyway, lesson learned.

Posing With Ivy

The screenshot in this entry was taken for the next installment of Aeronwen's journal, but I'm posting it here first just because I couldn't wait to show it. The poses came from Audrey a modeling pose set. There are a number of potentially useful poses in this pack, but the pose that sealed the deal was the one featuring Audrey with her cat from "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

Here is Aeronwen and her adorable Ragdoll cat Ivy using the poses: Read more... )

I Had to Share This Outtake Screenshot

This afternoon I was taking screenshots for Aeronwen's next journal entry. Most of them take place within the "Golden Antler Karaoke Tavern". First I took a series of screens that involve Neldor having a heated discussion with Godonir. And Neldor's side was the only side that was heated. He was doing a lot of scowling and finger pointing while Godonir just coolly stood there with a smirk on his face. During this time I had Aeronwen waiting outside the tavern.

Finally I got all the shots I needed.

Me: "Annddd....cut! That's a wrap! Good job, boys. You can both relax now."

I release Neldor and Godonir from posing, then have Aeronwen come in and head to the opposite corner of the room where she has a scene with Acacia and little Araynys. As she walks by and goes to the corner, Godonir looks at her like this: Read more... )

Macavity...I mean Godonir

I just had to set up these poses after talking about how the song Macavity from Cats makes me think of Godonir. So here are the she-werewolves Usanda and Caslandra, with their performance inspired by Demeter and Bombalurina's duet about Macavity.

A Repeat of Something that Happened in a Previous Game

It's now the winter season in the Ascadian Isles/Dragon Valley and I just finished decorating Rosewood Farm for the New Life season. After decorating, Neldor took Casper to the dog park where a Dog Social Hour was going on. This led to something happening that was a rerun of an incident that happened in my previous game.

angrboda: My cat Luna. She's white and grey (Luna)

(no subject)

I went to the pharmacy today to give back Luna's left-over medicine. Also washed and decommisioned one of the cat toilets. It doesn't feel necessary to have two while Holly is an only-cat.

In a few months, when we're ready, we will of course find a new co-cat for her that she can train and teach everything that she knows. I have been low-key collecting potential names since we got Holly.

I have been thinking about it, and I have come to the conclusion that I don't think there is any alternative reality in which the medicine we were given, or any other medicine, would have worked. I think it was simply her time. 14½ is not a bad age for a cat after all.

I have a germinating idea for a little memorial feature in the garden, which may or may not happen. I need to consider and plan, and then see what we can do in spring. I like the idea of something small and simple that you might not even notice unless you already know it's there.
